Golfing at Tanjong Puteri offers an excellent challenge for amateurs and
professionals alike. Honored as the best golfing experience in South
Malaysia, the Resort offers three different yet similarly breathtaking
options, "Plantation" Course, "Village" Course and "Straits" Course.
Night golfing is available on Tuesday and Thursday.
“PLANTATION” COURSE (18-hole – Par 72)
Built
on a natural undulating terrain, this 6,454 meters 18-hole courses was
designed by Max Wexler and was opened for play in November 1992. The area
was once a thriving oil palm plantation with living quarters for workers who
cultivate fruit orchards and coconut groves some of which are preserved as
screen on 4th, 6th 7th, 14th & 15th fairways. This course has been
recognized by many professional golfers as the best experience in South
Malaysia.
Eighteen holes are lit for night golfing which is a cool experience in
contrast with the heat of daytime challenge. Available on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings.
“VILLAGE” COURSE (18-hole – Par 72)
This 18-hole course provides 6,380 meters of sporting and visual
pleasure. With a total of 11 holes skirting water hazards, this spectacular
course has been designed for enthusiasts with strong sensations.
Bunkers and water hazards have been strategically placed to provide
golfers a demanding lay-out, especially on the 7th, 12th, 16th and 17th
holes. Surrounded by lush greenery and vegetation, it sprawls over the
jungle and oil palm plantations. Designed by Mamiya San, this course offer
undulation and hidden greens.
“STRAITS” COURSE (18-hole – Par 72)
This excluding 6,163 meters 18-hole course is the latest addition to the
Tanjong Puteri collection, designating a more accurate playing strategy. The
challenge lies in the particular attention that has been given to retain a
large number of trees and the use of the natural undulation of the terrain.
Being close to the Straits of Johor, this course is subject to prevailing
winds. |
